Gough St Reconstruction Project 2025
Pending Council approval, the Township of Huron-Kinloss will be starting a road construction project as early as May 2025 on the following roads:
- Gough St. from Stauffer St. to Havelock St. – Full Road Reconstruction
- Inglis St. from Campbell St. to Gough St. – Sidewalk Replacement
- Gough St. Bridge rehabilitation between Stauffer St. and Inglis St
During this project, Gough St. will be restricted to local traffic only.The Gough St. bridge will be fully closed during the rehabilitation process and all through traffic will be detoured.
This street reconstruction project will include a new water services, some storm sewer upgrades (including Private Drain Connections), asphalt pavement and concrete curb and gutters. New 1.5m (5 ft) concrete sidewalks will be installed on the north side of Gough St. continuous from Stauffer St. to Havelock St.
The Inglis St. sidewalk project will include new 1.5m (5 ft) concrete sidewalks on the east side of the street from Gough St. to Campbell St.

Test holes will be dug on March 12, 2025. The tender for this project is now open for bids and will close on March 27, 2025.
